I have been asked several times on how to boot your computer into SAFE-MODE.
Here it goes...
1. Go to START
2. RUN (WINDOWS 7, just type msconfig, in search at bottom)
3. Type in msconfig
4. Now gets a little specific.... You will have some options at the TOP OF BOX...(General, Boot, Services...)
Click on BOOT
5. You will see some "Boot Options" Select "Safe Boot"
6. Select "Minimal"
7. Hit APPLY, then OK
8. Now, Hit restart.
For those that don't know, SAFE MODE is great for virus scans, as it boots only CORE processes to run computer, and in return, keeps those nasty little .exe and .dll extensions from blocking your ANTI-Virus from picking up the virus. Keep in mind, that when you are done doing whatever it is you are doing Safe Mode, you will have to repeat the above steps 1-5, and UNSELECT SAFE BOOT, then APPLY and OK, restart, and BAMM, back in "Normal Mode"
That is how to boot up in "SAFE MODE". Later, i will explain how to do it during Windows startup (Used to do above, but also a way to remove account password in case you forget.)
